Helicopter Robots Perform James Bond Theme | Audio-Sounds.com
How cool is that? Helicopter robots – called Quadrotors – are performing James Bond theme.
The quadrotors play a keyboard, drums, bass guitar, cymbals and a self-made guitar which looks like a ladder.
It’s unbelievable what the people of GRASPS lab at Pennsylvania University achieved with imitating the swarming behaviour of birds, fishes and insects.
The flying robots are controlled by a central computer and get their commands wirelessly.
The biggest challenge for the engineering team was to figure out how to control the helicopter robots individually in the 3D space without crashing them .
Here is another video demonstrating figures and formation flights
I bet military is very interested in these little musicians and I am a little scared about the future. ;-)
